Just a Note to Someone I Loved

No word
can touch the meaning of a simple smile or a hug.
No poem
can calm the restless heart the way the caress of a gentle hand can in the
middle of the night.
No great
intention or perfect reasoning can hold you when you need it most.
No long
love letter can replace a single shared moment of silence between those who
love one another.
Words are
like coins thrown into the deep darkness of a wishing well, we can only hope
for the best after they are released,
yet
we doubt they mean anything.
I'm sorry
all I have are words for you right now.
However,
I love you all the same.

she had too much going for her, she was "smart" and pretty, and everyone loved her. she had wonderful parents who supported her every endeavor and saved her from ever having to fall (up until it became impossible to save her anymore). she didn't know her limits, and she didn't know true adversity, she was not humbled by the power of this universe to break you in an instant, forever. her character was week and she sircome (sp?) to heroin addiction. she is hiding from the law and facing multiple felony counts. she ruined her life, i believe because in many ways she only knew the easy way. sometimes, the most difficult times and the hardest challenges we must face actually forge our spirits and give substance to our hearts. you know this all too well RW. i am preaching to the choir here :)
