I Saw The Usaf Thunderbirds
I had the chance to see the Thunderbirds when I was about 11 years old. It was at a local air show about 20 minutes away from my home. While we were waiting to see them, we checked out all the other military aircraft that was there, including an F-16, the exact same aircraft they currently use, in it's normal paint scheme. Although I had an uncle who served in the Air Force, I never got close to the aircraft because of the level of security around them. Here, I could walk right up to them. And for an eleven year old kid, this was big.
When it was time for the Thunderbirds' demonstration, we had to watch for them, because the airport's runway wasn't long enough for.them to be able to take off and land easily. Once they flew in, not a single person was sitting down. Afterwards, I was so excited from seeing their demonstration, that I was hoping to see it again. Now that I have kids of my own, I'm making sure that they have a chance to see them as well.
