Lets make good connections and become friends with those who understand the need for goodwill, positivity, real friendship and sharing healthy fun. Accentuate the positive. Just ignore the negativity rather than energising it with interaction. EP still has the potential to be everything it has before and more. Lets move forward.

Urgh I agree so much!! Like yes they are people I disagree with on here but whatever doesn't mean I should post a story about then and *****, even though they wrote stuff about me. It bugged me but I shouldn't stoop to their level. I'm better then that.

More people should prove that they ARE better then that. EP is better then that.

Thanks Faucon ! I've read the other stories in the group. I just think EP is big enough for all of us. I prefer to exist in the drama free zone. That works for me and I've had no problems.

Smebro ... I don't like the stories that are written to simply attack another. I do remember at least a few that were removed, either by EP or the author. Not being able to PM would be very frustrating for me.



Junie ... I totally agree. There has been way too much of that going on.



We can agree there's a problem, but one we really can't do much about directly. What we can do is just keep contributing in a positive manner. It's never going to be perfect but it can be a damn good web site if we really want it to be. EP is the sum of all of it's members, not just the few that cause conflict. And yes, I really believe they are in the minority here.

I agree with resolving conflicts personally. Dragging people into your battles is cowardly.



Sadly a lot of that has been happening, resulting in people being driven away - people I'd rather see more than those people who gang up against whoever it is raising a finger against their 'idol' or 'leader'.

I agree entirely. I have not been on EP for some time, loooooong time passing, but things have certainly changed very little so far as pointless stories about individuals that annoy other individuals.

I remember one or two pages written about moi in 08/09, one or two people that just didn't like my vibe at the time. The most annoying thing was that they also blocked me... and they had SO MANY SPELLING ERRORS... I wish they had PM'd me so I didn't have to see my name amongst such bad selling and grammar.

You're right, all I was seeing was a lot of complaining ... we need to be proactive. I just want people to keep participating. We can be silly, serious, sad .... why we can even share emotions not beginning with a "S" ... lol. I was just as guilty as anyone though, I'd stopped commenting or posting stories as often. I'm going to do more of it now. Hopefully others will do so too.

Oh it was a sort of mass exodus. But you're completely right about everything you say here. I saw this group last night and thought - YES. We can do this. We aren't doing anything but complaining...



And the biggest thing I like about your post...IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE, DEAL WITH IT IN A PM. Do not drag everyone in five people's circles into this drama. We can surely dredge up just a little class, no?

BBoy ... thanks for the comment. I was exaggerating about a "mass exodus". I only know some people left and I have read many stories about how the good people are gone and EP has changed for the worse. But you have eloquently stated exactly what I was trying to say. EP is an awesome place filled with genuine & sincere people. Love your attitude and hope you stick around EP.



It's easy to look at what we don't like here but the danger is letting that become your focus. If you do, you forget all the good stuff still to be found on EP. I wrote this because I believe the only way to improve EP is to keep contributing, to be an active participant in some way. I hope others will continue to do so.

MrsP .... I know I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said before, and far better than I can say it. You're right about the drama. I don't know how it gets out of hand or why people take it as seriously as they do. There will always be those that do though.



Neveah .... I agree with you. As often as I say "it's only the internet", behind all those avatars and user names are real people. We can only make choices for ourselves and choose how we view the site and use it.



Zillaron ... I hope you decide to stay. I've really enjoyed your stories. Sometimes we just need to take a break, not necessarily leave altogether. I hope it works out for you. : )

Sigma ... I know EP has changed as well since I've been here. I don't like all the changes but for me, the essential elements are still the same ... awesome people.

I'm new to EP so I can't say I know what it was like back in the day, but seeing all your genuinely caring comments makes me feel like EP is a great place to be esp. compared to a lot of other places online. I wasn't aware that there was a mass exodus, but you guys are still here and you guys make this place an awesome place to be, so imho the cup is half full and still filling up =)

Great story, just what I was needing to hear. I've been busy saving my stories as .pdf files in preparation to jump ship and your story gives me some hope that EP can be what it once was.

Great story! You are right. This place is a great place and its what we make it because we can control who we deal with (for the most part). Its changed a bit but I haven't.

I've also written stories about the same thing. Its an ever changing place in a not so perfect world of imperfect people!

I'm glad you made that comment about how one message or gesture can make such a difference in how one feels. One of the greatest gifts this site gives us is it makes it so easy to reach out to others. I'm afraid we too often underestimate the impact even a gesture may make to another.
