Self Disclosure

I've been told I'm a little to liberal with the self disclosure.  I'm scattered all over the net with opinions and poems and life stories.  I've written some political stuff that extremists would kill me for, and I've made myself easy to find.  I've written while I was drunk, being all sloppy sentimental, and  silly.  I've told the world my every weakness.  I've been a smart ***, I've argued enough to cause the other person to hurl insults and threats. I was even asked to leave a site, being accused of hitting on a member. I wasn't nasty, I just flirted.  I contest that particular case.  The administrator was a control freak and the site only had eight members.  I can say that I've never used profanity, or solicited anyone in a sexual manner.  That is the honest truth.

I've never had any problem at all on this site.  I think this site was made for self disclosure.  I like it here!

I love that you're open and honest. I love that you're not afraid to reach out to others and offer them consideration and friendship.

Well, you know what they say about the tallest blade of grass and the mower. I've done the same thing to myself and had to resign from my art group. I only spoke up for some members who were afraid to. It cleared the air for lots of people, but the 'executive', who were the subject of my rant, became very cold to me afterward.

Miss lucy.

The only reason I’m not more open is that my bosses watch my activity with remote-viewing applications. So I do keep a few cards close. I could admit much more and perhaps seem a more rounded person, but it’s nice to have a few aspects of myself under the radar of my profile. Not to mention my Mum might read over this at some point. I suppose what I am most restrictive with info-wise is sexual stuff- because neither Mum nor my bosses wants to hear about that.

One of the many gifts Manic Depression gave me was a level of shamelessness that sometimes borders on exhibitionism - or - what I like to call "confessional Tourette's syndrome." I simply don't care a fig what others think of me as long as I'm comfortable with myself. It's wonderfully liberating. When I think of how shy and uptight I used to be - totally dependent on the approval of others - I feel sad for that person. This site, naturally, is an ideal platform under the circumstances.

Some people are naturally candid - I know I am. My life is an open book and one of my favorite songs is by Joan Jett, "I Don't Give A Damn About My Reputation". Go to You Tube and type the title into the search box. You will love the song.

It feels safe to express what your feeling , I like it too..
