Just Do It...

Sometimes you have to put aside the feelings of others just to get your point across or to make him/her understand.  I learned a long time ago (after years of letting people letting walk all over me), that although you may avoid a confrontation by letting things slide, in the end you just end up angry at the person and angrier at yourself for not standing up to them.  Now, I'm not saying you should go out into the world each day looking for a fight.  Use discretion when approaching a conversation that could make a person uncomfortable and don't be vindictive or hurtful.  Speak the truth, don't sugarcoat anything, and try to see from that person's perspective.  A little common sense and a bit of compassion can get you pretty far even in the most awkward of situations.

always a good philosophy. Wish I could be more like that. I am way too shy.
