I've been scrapbooking for over 10 years now (on and off).  Enjoy the creative outlet it provides and how easily you can get "sucked in" for hours without even realizing how time has gone by!   One of my challenges is being able get motivated while by myself.  I live in a "smallish town" and it is not always easy to find people to get together with.

I have every gadget imaginable (that's where the addiction comes from) with the "Silhouette" cutter being the last big purchase. Recently I moved most of the supplies into the formal dinning room taking over the cabinet designed for china as a storage device for the gadgets.  Since it is not a dedicated area, I still find it tricky to get everything out and then have to stop midway and put it all away. Eventually I want a place where I can have it all available whenever the inspiration hits-but I'm sure that is not an exclusive dream of mine!

At any rate, I hope I can find some scrapbooking friends in here and maybe we can get inspiration and motivation through each other.

I think this is a very personal process and you tend to develop your own style, and that's when the fun really begins!

I scrapbooked for years that my kids were born in. I just didn't keep it up. But I've got '86 and '89 covered, at least.

You've been scapbooking for over ten years and that is quite impressive. It's nice to read about hobbies that give people joy. Thank you for sharing this story with us!
