Socio-Botanical Classification

Dandelions are actually a food too :) I've made stir-fry dandelion. They are good and are good FOR you! :)

Isnt it amazing how plants too can have a social status? Did we give them the status? If I were a 4 leaf clover, would I regard dandelion as a fellow weed?   When I was a kid, before I understood socio-botanical classifications, dandelions were beautiful flowers.

I bought them at a natural foods grocery store.

I suppose you'd have to find a location that isn't sprayed with any type of pesticides in order to eat them. I've never tried it, thought I'd be willing, if they were 'organically grown'.

Yes, they do carry with them many beautiful memories. :)

THIS I FOUND INTERESTING. I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD COOK THEM - STIR FRY SOUNDS GREAT. I LIKE SOME WEEDS TOO AND DANDELIONS ARE NICE. NEVER THOUGHT THERE WAS A KIND OF CLASS SYSTEM.

Did you know that dandilions did not start in North america. they came over in someones herb bag. <br />

I agree with Camaro, 'weed' just means the plant is in the wrong place.
