The First Demon Attack

This is something I've never written in a journal, because I know that I will remember every minute detail of it until the day I die. I don't even think I could force myself to forget what happened the night that this happened.

I don't remember the exact date, I only remember it was a Wednesday in the summer of (I believe) 2008 or 2009. I woke up only because I was cold and something didn't feel right.

I sat up and looked around. There was a heavy pressure but I ignored it...this was during the time that I still didn't believe that the Involvement was real. I looked over at my clock and saw that the power was out. I decided to tet out the electricity and tried to turn on my bedroom light. Nothing. My closet light didn' turn on either. I left my room and tried out the lights in the basement living room. And to my amazement, the lights worked.

I was freaked out. I checked every light in the house except for my parents' room...they were asleep and I didn't want to wake them up. Every light except for the kitchen lights (the kitchen was above my room) worked just fine.

I decided to go back into the basement, despite the fact that I could feel the pressure, the evil aura, from upstairs. I was beginning to suspect that it was a demon. After all, what other explanation was there?

I wasn't even halfway down the stairs before the chill wrapped around me like a cold sheet. It wasn't necessarily ice cold, but it wasn't a normal cold either. I shivered as a chill raced up and down my spine, arms, legs, body. I was terrified. I didn't want to go back into my room. I didn't want to be in the basement. I wanted to wake up my parents and tell them that we had to leave the house. I wanted to scream, to cry, to scream at the demon and tell it to leave, to stop this torment. I could barely move my legs as I moved closer to my bed, where the aura was strongest. I couldn't breathe as I approached it. I felt a tingle start from my temple, where a headache immediately sprouted, down to my elbow, as if something had just stroked me gently. My head and arm hurt but I didn't feel like I had been injured.

I reached into the drawer of my nightstand and grabbed a cross necklace, holding it very, very close to me. "Lord, please, please protect Mom, please protect Dad, please protect the cat, and please protect the neighbors and my friends, and please protect me. Please get rid of the demon. Amen."

And then I fell asleep.

The next morning, my clock was on...and on the right time. All the power worked. My head and arm were sore, but I was uninjured.

Definitely a creepy experience. Rebuking them and praying for protection was a great response. With faith in Jesus Christ, all things must concede to His power. I pray that you've been protected from that experience since.

Wow... creepy...

I know this feeling very well, similar events happened to me several times. I realized standing up to it with loving embrace and faith even tho terrifying really works.
