It's About More Than Just A Stinging Backside

My parents do this to me :(( I hate doing it because I hold it and look it and get tense the whole way knowing what will soon happen. It's even worse when my step dad tells me to go out and cut a switch because I know he'll give me a worse spanking if I don't find and cut a good switch, so I have to select painful looking ones. Sometimes it's worse than the spanking. Because I'm the one bringing it to them, it's almost like I'm giving it to myself, which, I guess, is why my parents do it. I did it, I get it- I am the one who caused and 'gives' (by getting whatever it is) the spanking. At least my mum tells me that. Anyway, I really, really hate it.

You spank to quickly, spanking should be drawn out with lots of talking and forced answers.

I think a lot of spankings that children get are unnecessary & some are down right mean.

In my case If an implement was to be used then I was often sent to get it. Usually the belt off of the back of her bedroom door. Once or twice I had to go to the tree at the bottom of the garden and cut a switch.

It definitely added to the punishment, and I would say that it was an integral part of the punishment rather than just preparation. Once or twice I would either come back with something unsuitable or hide the belt and claim I couldn't find it. I soon learned that was the fastest way of making things worse.

Fetching the implement always took place between the telling off and the actual spanking so once I had given her the belt etc then all that remained to do was to take down my trousers and pants as I was always punished bare bottomed.

Unlike others here I was only ever punished with a single method so there was no hand spanking followed by.....

I don't remember ever being spanked with a hand. Personally I don't think the hand would hurt all that much. I didn't always have to go get the wooden spoon or paddle. But my dad would ask this question when I was in trouble, "what would you do if you were the parent and your son did what you did?" I hated that question, because it was like asking for a spanking.

I totally love what you have written here, and also the methods you use to spank and punish them. Especially when you say:
