I Can't Seem to Get Motivated to Do My Housework.

I'm a stay at home mom with an almost-2-year-old son.  I have a list of about a million things that I need to get done during the day while my husband is at work.  The best time to do all of my "chores" is when my baby is taking his daily afternoon nap but for some reason I just can't get motivated and instead end up spending almost the entire time on the computer, wasting time.  Of course I know that this is not very productive and I always tell myself, "just five more minutes and then I'll go fold the laundry", but time just flies and before I know it the baby is up & ready to play.  Then, I usually have to make up for it by doing everything at the last minute before bed, when I should be using those hours to relax, get some extra sleep or just spend time with the hubby. I often find that my excuse is that "I just need some time for myself, so it's okay".

Ok... I'll quit blabbering on now..... maybe I'll go fold the laundry....right after I check my email.

I agree that somehow you need to become motivated. I do know that a good spanking can do that pretty well. Working with a Disciplinarian and as they get to know you they might be able to find other ways to get you motivated.

I totally understand. I'm a stay at home mom too and it's so hard to motivate myself to do the mundane chores around the house
