Somewhere Warm

For the past couple of weeks, every time I drive to work or back, I'm not seeing the world around me. Yeah, I know, that sounds dangerous. It's not that I'm completely lost to where I am but I see everything differently, like I'm seeing it through a filter. I live in Maine - the great white waste - as I like to call it. Yet, when I drive, I see everything as if it were summer - or as if I were in the South. I get the strongest impression of the Old South. It is so weird. It's as if my mind is saying - this is not where you need to be right now. You are supposed to be somewhere else. You are supposed to be...somewhere south. I don't know.
