Make sure to drink 7+ cups a day. Here's great schedule:

Breakfast:
1 cup

Between Breakfast & Lucnh:
1 cup

Lunch:

1 cup

Between Lunch & Dinner:
2 cups

Dinner: 1 cup

After Dinner:
1 cup or more!

Actually, you should drink water in proportion to your weight and activity.<br />
1/2 ounce per pound<br />
So if you weigh a 100 pounds, then you would need 50 ounces.<br />
P.s. a cup is equivalent to 8 ounces<br />
If your active, for example outside in the summer (ie sweating a lot...meaning higher water loss), then you woud need to up your water intake in order to keep yourself internally balanced!<br />

Proper water intake helps regulate weight/metabolism, keep rythmic cycles in balance, help maintain brain, nerve nd muscle function...just to name the more superficial and immediate type of benefits of hydration!<br />
I find that proper hydration is the biggest violation in people's dietary habits.
