Get Lost

I developed a close friendship with someone I know from work. We were both very fond of each other. As we were in the same group we worked on some of the same projects together to some degree. He has had a reputation for doing most of all of the work which was very frustrating for me, especially when it came time to get visibility for the work. Last year I offered to contribute to something he started to work on and he was very happy to work with me, I did this only because my workload was very light and I needed to get work to prove my value in the office. We finished the work and so far it's been received positively. Now he's off on his own developing it more and getting visibility for it. I got pushed out, there's nothing I can do about it, believe me plus I was able to pick up some other work that I'm solely responsible for. Anyway, due to this behavior by my coworker I've been acting almost cool toward him.. I don't initiate any conversations with him however if he stops by I'll wait for him to say something. He doesn't seem to be too interested in talking too long anyway, so I don't worry about what I'll say next. I don't know if he cares or has noticed but I really don't respect him anymore (this plus other events). The only thing that keeps me from telling him to get lost is we're in the same group and I don't want to start a war with him.
