You Don't Get Many Chances

It's hard work getting close to me, you have to make it through my labarynth of protective walls, complete with david bowie lookalike guardians.

but once you're in you're there.

Unless you **** up.

Then you're out.-- for good.

i know how you feel,CM. when you get to the point that you have to shut people out, it's usually for a good reason.

I don't think you grasp the concept of ******* up. And I never said I expected anyone to be perfect. I'll tolerate most of the little things, and even some of the big ones.
I'm pretty loyal to my friends. So it is NEVER the first bit of conflict that turns me off a close friend.
But some people aren't good matches for others and trying to make friendships like that only serve to hurt both parties.
i think, Hnah1313, nobody can tell others where to draw the line. And your comment annoys me because its patronising, and seems to assume that I can't make conscious decisions about who is good for me and who isn't. I highly suggest you don't patronise me again.
Does it ever cross your mind to give people second chances? I mean, sometimes there is just no turning back, but if you throw away friendships at the first bit of conflict, you could be doing yourself a disservice. People aren't perfect, and you can't expect them to be. A big part of forging a friendship is pushing through the good times as well as the bad.
