Just the Lowdown

I have a fairly deep, gravelly voice that my voice coach liked to compare to Leonard Cohen's.

I was singing with local community choruses and symphony choruses when the Met was staging Eugene Onegin, and was searching nationwide for chorus members who could hit the low notes.  I qualified, but the performance was during final exam week of my senior year as an undergraduate, so I didn't go.  Sometimes I wish I had.
