Sketching From the Heart

Art was instilled in me at a very young age.  In grade 5 I was in drama, choir and my teacher loved art.  I loved his class.  It always kept me interested in these things and I always did well.

This carried on into high school were I met my mentor.  Harold McNamara, was my art teacher and a Christian.  We would eat our lunches together and talk about both God and art.

The love for art never left me even after high school.  I dabbled in it a little bit now and then, and so often I'd run into "Harold" as he wants me to call him now and he'd ask if I was still doing art, and very gladly, I'd say yes.  His smile showed my appreciation of our times together.

You do not have to be an artist to enjoy art.  If you can draw stick people, you can do art.  It is all about expression.  Join me and we will share experiences, techniques and pictures.

If you want, you can find some free art lessons on the web. Of special interest, you might want to check out about.com because they have articles that come daily, weekly, etc., on various topics, one being painting. Check them out.<br />
