Hairless

I started sleeping naked when I was young. I was embarrassed that I hadn’t grown any body hair and thought if I sleep naked, I’d be cold and the coldness would cause me to grow hair. My dog put on a heavy coat for winter, so I hoped it would work for me too.

I was crushed when the biology teacher said “Species adapt – individuals do not”.

Sleeping naked in the cold didn’t work, but aging did.

Now that I have a personally acceptable amount of body hair – everyone is getting theirs lasered off. Oh well, Star Belly Sneetches.
