I Smoke Weed
There are a lot of silly things in the world, and the criminalization of marijuana ranks as one of the silliest.
Marijuana has been respected as a harmless plant with medicinal and spiritual value by countless cultures throughout time. Hindu sadhus smoke it to unite with Shiva, Sufi mystics dervish to its scent; its attributes as a healing herb are well documented by modern scientists.
It's ironic that there are pills for everything today but people remain unhappy. Yet this one drug is considered evil beyond all worth.
Of course, it's bad to be addicted to anything, but that applies to everything. There lot of people addicted to weed, but there are also lots of people addicted to alcohol, abusive relationships, hurting themselves, etc. Treat the addiction, not the target of the addiction.
Maybe if we had a better relationship with this plant we'd have a better relationship with more of the natural world.
