Trapeze Sneeze

As she flew toward his arms

From the flying trapeze

He said wait a minute

I have to sneeze

It's not formatted as a limerick, actually. Limericks have this rhyme patterm:
For example:

There once was a young lady named Bright,
Who could travel far faster than light.
She set off one day
In a relative way
And returned the preceding night.

Now for your situation:

There once was a gentleman on a flying trapeze
Who, awkwardly, realized he needed to sneeze
As she sailed to his arm
though he wished her no harm,
He said "Give me one moment, if you please."

Yes, you are right. I should have remembered that from high school English. Thanks for educating me and thanks for the rewrite.
