I Prefer Oldies Better Than Mainstreamif i'm gonna speak of old music first of all you people must know my age, i'm a 16 year old dude, who loves music of the 60s, 70s, and especially the 80s. why 60s because most of the relaxing songs are there and especially psychedelic rock (i'm not a hippie but i have necklace with the sign of peace) why the 70s? because i love dancing with joyful and meaningful songs and i love the most famous disco music like bee gees - night fever, gloria gaynor - i will survive, and so on (and speaking of dance/disco today it's full of hip hop, pop. and party less-meaningful crap) why the 80s because that's where i listened to much of the romantic music.
when i was a kid i used to listen to Shalalala in the morning sang by my aunt, then i went on to listen to video game music, then when i was searching for the song i've admired the most called Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now - Starship it made me feel so relax and unique from my other friends. well also i like the feeling when i listen to Laura Branigan's Self Control, it is as if i went back to the city of the 1980s at night with city lights and buildings, it's like the feeling of walking on the dark streets, but if i was indeed born in the 80s, i would still avoid the use of drugs. i'm a clean man (but i drink light alcoholic beer raging from 3-5%)
next as i grew up i still played video games but there's this one game that inspired me because of the song played on the gameplay called The Warriors, yes i was inspired by Dr Hook's When You're In Love With A beautiful woman. that's when i decided to call myself The Asian New Yorker because i'm asian and i love new york oldies.
