n my sleeping mind I see you there. Sitting next to me the way we used to do, the way we used to be, but you are doing nothing. A statue in my dreams, not speaking, not moving. The night before we were going camping. You hate camping, but we were going because we had not been since you passed. We each had to make something with our own hands to take. I don't know why. I can't remember what I made, but you carved a stone with two v-shaped grooves side by side. One for measuring the other for rolling . I remember rolling my eyes. You stuck out your tongue, smiled and said, "What?" And then, sadly, I woke up. No camping trip again.
