I Sometimes Want to Lie On the Floor and Cry
As I write I have tears to my eyes
Sadness is what draws ink to the page
I leave the crowded room peacefully
And I enter the next one tears rolling down my cheeks
Crashing to the ground eyes full of water
The floor is whats closest to the earth
Now flooded with the pain and regret
Only it can stand it, only it can leave it as it is
I'm so heavy, carrying it all around
I'm now drowning in what used to be killing me inside
Someone enters through the door
Sees my eyes swollen full of despair
If only they could pick me up
Help me forget that floor
If only you could help me through that imaginary door.
To my dear friend,
From your old friend.
