I Lived As A Woman For 8 Years

I lived as a woman from the time I graduated from high school until I turned 26. It was a hard decision to go back to being a man, though I've maintained an effeminate manner. It's hard to be a woman for 8 year and then all of a sudden start being "manly". That was a long time ago, and I still cross dress, wear makeup all the time, but I'm a man. But I keep thinking about how maybe it would have been better, if back then, I'd have become a woman permanently.

But I met a woman at work who had become my best friend, who had learned that I was really a male and was fine with it. When I started going bald, it seemed the best thing to go back to being a man. If you think it's hard to be a man and then begin living as a woman, you try the reverse.

But me and that woman got married and we're approaching our 25th wedding anniversary, so perhaps it's all for the best.
