I Love Helping People In Need

I come from a background which would be considered neither wealthy nor destitute--just average, run of the mill middle class American.  When I was younger, I never would have thought to donate my time or money to help people in need.  However, as I've grown older and experienced more in my life, I've come to the realization that even though I'm not wealthy, I can still try to make a difference in someone's life.  By helping someone else, I can also help myself--it gives me a sense of purpose.  As I've gotten older, I've also come to the realization that I most likely will never have children, and if I do, they will be adopted.  Since I have no children of my own to care for, I may as well help some children who don't have parents to care for them.  I have friends and relatives from Ghana (West Africa) so I decided that is where I would like my donations to go.  I sponsor two orphans, both of whom are beautiful children!  For privacy reasons I don't feel comfortable sharing any more information about the two children.  But I must say that it is a fulfilling and rewarding experience and I encourage others to do the same!!!
