I Stay At Home Most of the Time
A lot of people think my Isolation is out of shyness or a dislike of mixing with others but that is just not the case.
There's a few reasons why:
- I am most awake in the late night and early morning but get put to bed, then. I can not change times too much as it is government funded care.
-Wheelchair access is atrocious in most places.
- Public transport is also inaccessible, I can only use trains, not many trams and even fewer buses.
If I could get out, I'd only use this shoebox to shower and sleep. I hope to get a few night recreation hours in my care package on next review in July. That way I can get assisted in my manual chair upstairs and perhaps pay someone to come out with me to meet new people then.
It is true that I am not a fan of gossiping with other women in cafes, but why should that stop my finding friends?
