I love the Christy series based on the television series and novel, also Enid Blyton's Faraway tree series. The Larry-Boy series is amazing too. Soo much fun. Also Mandie mysteries.

just off my headtop..."the Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein holds a timeless lesson which will always speak to me,as do any and all works by Dr.Seuss, and I'm really big on Roald Dahl as well, especially his "Revolting Rhymes" which I love to read out loud.<br />

Megan Whalen Turner also inspires me with her tales collected in "Instead of Three Wishes"<br />

among manymany others...can't forget Maurice Sendak,he has sent me on many a journey also...

serendipity books by steven cosgrove. they are beautifully illustrated and usually have a moral/lesson at the end. little golden books are good also, other random books:corduroy, stellaluna, the hungry caterpillar, then there was one about a fish with a shiny scale, but i forgot the title of it. there's too many to name, but i enjoy going to the kids section of the bookstore sometimes to bring back memories
