I Still Enjoy Reading Children's Books
Every year our local library has an 8 week summer reading program from tots to eighteen. At the end of the program, there's an award ceremony to recognize the participants and reward their hours of free-time reading. I sign my kids up every year. Parental reading counts for the kids' time, and parents get put in a drawing for a gift basket of goodies. Each book a parent reads, their name goes in the basket. For the past two years in a row, my Son has read the most hours in his age group, and I have won the parents' gift basket. My daughter has won awesome prizes such as gift cards and an MP3 Player! I've had the joy of reading beginner books up to teen themes. I have two favorite kiddie books now. Diary Of A Worm by Doreen Cronin ( I now want to get her newer book Diary Of A Spider!), and Dirt On My Shirt by Jeff Foxworthy. I highly recommend these for kids AND adults!
