I Still Remember September 11
I remember waking up that morning, and finding it weird that my mom was watching a movie on television. She never watched TV in the morning - she only read the paper. It wasn't until closer inspection that I realized that it wasn't a movie, it was really happening. The entire day at school, every TV was on. School work was forgotten. We found out that the father of a student at my school was on one of the planes, and everyone mourned with her. It was very quiet and eerie. No one could think of anything to say or do. I'm from Los Angeles county, and there are ports everywhere. Everyone got scared that we would be the next city attacked. A few days after 9/11, I remember it was lunch time, and some joker put off a firework. It was such a loud boom, and quite literally, the campus gasped and then went silent for 3 seconds before returning to normal. It was really scary.
