A Grim Reminder

What I remember the most is a picture I just saw once the day it happened. It was a picture of a group of paramedic vehicles sitting on flat tires, doors open and lights still flashing, stretchers gone and rest of equipment scattered inside..no one around. It seemed so utterly sad and yet so jolting. Perhaps because I was a paramedic myself at one point it made me realize that those crews were all dead.......I started crying uncontrollably..it just destroyed me. I can still see the picture in my minds eye and it still has a powerful affect on me.
