What I Was Doing...

Actually, I was in bed, um....  well... you know.  Then I heard my roommate yelling in the living room that the first plane had hit.  Got to the TV just in time to watch the 2nd one hit.  I remember the feeling in the pit of my stomach.  I knew it wasn't some sick movie.  That people were/ and had been dying.  REALLY.  Words don't really express the feelings.

I do remember though, that about a week afterward, I was really tired of hearing about it on the news.  I was still sad that it happened, and that they were still looking for people.  But, there is only so much repetition I can take.  I couldn't watch tv, or listen to the radio for so long, since that was all they talked about.  It doesn't feel like it was nearly a decade ago.  It feels like maybe a couple of years.

And, these things happen with the long term in mind. They want us to remember for as long as they can make us.

I don't think any of us will forget it in a hurry!
