Who Me?!

I use to be this way much more then I am now. I have learned to take care of myself more. I should come first, notice I said should but I care for people and their plight so much that I tend to worry about them more and give to others more.



It has been detrimental to me in some friendships as I'm always asking them how they are and down playing my needs and eventually they only tell me about themself and I get into one way friendships where i'm always giving and they are always telling me their problems.



It has been a long haul and I haven't arrived yet but i'm taking care of me more and more first. After all we are the only ones who can take the best care of us right. If we are not good to ourselves we won't be around or be fit enough to give to others.



I have also had to learn not to worry so much about what other people think. I use to be so sensitive about that, but now I really don't give a fig much anymore. I know who I am and I try to be a good person and if someone else see's something negative I take it into consideration and if it' not me I toss it and if it's something I need to look at then I consider it.
