I Stopped Talking to My Best Friend

My best friend of years just stopped returning my calls, when there was no incident or anything that brought us to that point as far as I could see. It was very painful.We were not teenagers and I thought we could talk about anything and handle our problems like adults, so it was very torturous. It felt worse than being dumped, because friends may come and go but best friends are for life.

    Same thing happened to me. No response to my phone calls or emails all of a sudden. No fight, no disagreement of any kind, it was just over. We grew up together and were lifelong friends. Still don't understand it. I grieved that loss and it still bewilders me.
