I set pretty high goals for myself and when I don't fulfill them I tend to go through self hate periods that are not exactly healthy for me. I wish I could change this but I was raised like I am by parents who are very strict and set pretty high standards for me and always have had. I guess some things just can't change.

We are the hardest judges of our selves. You just need to take a step back and thing "I really can do this or I'm pushing too hard my self only to make happy others?" sometimes we do things that we don't even want. There's no perfection, just try your best without harming yourself emotionally and physically. Your parents probably didn't know any better but that doesn't mean its the right way
