I Struggle With Sticking to Fitness Goals
I've never been SUPER FAT. I'm around 6'2 now and up until my junior year in high school, I weighed about 180 pounds. Everyone was kind of fat when they were a kid no? Well I was. I weighed 150 pounds when I was in the 6th grade and thank god for the growth spurt because I would have been one of the chubbiest kids in school. But that's irrelevant to what I'm trying to say.
I gained 20 pounds my senior year. For those who can't do the math, that's 200 pounds. I gained another 5 over the summer and then another 10 my freshman year in college. My summers were spent exercising so I would lose about 10 pounds. But for those who know what I'm talking about, those 10 pounds comes right back in couple weeks.
I spent my first semester of my sophmore year binge eating at night and drinking a lot of soda and beer. Turns out that's not very healthy. SO now I weigh 245 pounds, an all time high for me. I have stretch marks that looks like I gave birth to two baby whales. I mean like two twin baby whales. My brother who's a college athlete makes fun of my chin situation. (having like double triple chins) As Stanley from The Office so wisely put, "I lost some of my speed"
I'm not complaining about how I gained so much weight but to shed some light on how easily and quickly gaining weight can be. I'm currently on my rehab stage where each meal I eat is thought out and I look forward to going to the gym. My goal is to lose 50 pounds in 6 months. And I have lost drastic weight by dieting and exercising. But I think more than that, I'm ready for a change in lifestyle. I've been working on this everyday. Hitting the gym and eating healthy. I've lost about 7 pounds in 3 weeks and I'm looking for my next week's weigh-in
