Suicidal thoughts have been plaguing me since I was about 11 years old I'm now 46. There have been numerous attempts and hospital stays I have been on meds but they just take all the feeing away the good and bad. I have been off meds now for awhile pretending that all is good. Cognitive therapy is not helpful i see it as trying to convince a square that it's really a circle or turning night into day just by thinking it so. Now I'm just starting to ramble so I'll just leave it at that

Did something bad happen to you growing up?

No not really I was extremely shy (still am) and got teased and picked on quite a bit for being poor and living in a fairly wealthy town

The most important person to you - is you.
Have you given volunteering a go yet. This way you can meet people that are so happy to have you around. (Dog shelter..... or similar)
Their is a Big Brother/Little Brother program in most cities. Then you can help out a young child who has problems.
Quote for you:
Tao Te Ching

Knowing others is intelligence;
Knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength;
Mastering yourself is true power.
