Fed Up With This "Being Supportive" ****

Christ, I'm so sick of women complaining I'm not being supportive.  What am I, a ******* priest?  A shrink?  Typical situation: she's pissed of at somebody that doesn't matter and I think it's not worth spending two seconds worrying about it.  Can I say, "Just forget it, that person is a dumbass but what's it to you?".  No, I have to wrack my brains for some "supportive" comment like: "I see how that would make you upset, I'm sorry you had to go through that experience..."  Blah, blah, blah.  I try to say **** like that, but, as I'm sure you can imagine, I have trouble being sincere.  I can pull it off once or twice, but after a while I just want to say, "Shut the **** up!".  When I try to be supportive, ususally I'm NOT sincere, when you come right down to it.  I think she's being foolish and immature and shouldn't let it bother her.  I'm fine with just shutting my mouth about it - everyone has their weaknesses and I'm fine with overlooking hers.  But that's not good enough.

Jeeze, what is it with this "Supportive" ****!

Pissed off again and venting...

No, you don't need to say anything supportive!  Tell me I'm an ******* and need to get over it.  It's probably true.  ****!!!!!!!!!!!

hey we all need to blow off some steam every now and then

Yeah, I know. I understand the need to gripe and moan. (As you can see, I do it myself.) I'm just not good at being sympathetic when others are doing it.

my last ex was always trying to come up with solutions an all i freaking wanted to do was vent. I didn't need answers i just wanted to *****, gripe and moan.
