I have 2 crushed vertebrae L1,L2 have had unsuccessful back surgery to relieve pinched nerves at L4and L5/S1 , and severe DDD of 12 levels most of the Disks are totally gone. Nothing the Dr's can do to fix it , but the pain now is "controlled " by opiates (yeah right we all know it is never controlled) this is something the Dr's can't do anything for, even though I have been to the best Spine/orthopedic Dr in the western US and as said by a previous post it is something if you don't have this (and I don't wish this on anyone) you will never understand, the agony and pain!!

Hello,<br />
Very sorry for your failed back syndrome and I do know what your going through, because I too have failed back syndrome, I had 3 spinal surgeries, & one with the hardware screws etc.. A lot of people think you look alright on the outside so you must be ok. It is frustrating to say the least. Hugs..LadyAngel

Mine was a failed fusion of the L2-L4, October 2004 at the age of 22. Very few people know what it's like but know that there are those of us out there that can empathize... I wish you the best.

ahhh, that does suck! are you on meds for the pain? if not, what do you do to control it? i have a herniated disk, and can barely stand it!
