thanks, Sylphy... The thought of that right now, makes it hurt. It is twice as bad today as when I wrote this story. I have to stand a certain way, or it just feels like someone is hitting me with a sledgehammer. :(

hahaha! At least I can still giggle, tas! How is your leg today, btw?

Awww Destry *rubs back*... hope it gets better soon, there's nothing worse than pain. Have you thought about seeing a chiropractor?

    thanks, Ever....

no way I would go to a chiropractor. And before I get a million comments like last time I said that.... I just don't want to. I know of a 20 year old girl that ended up having a stroke right after a chiropractor worked on her and did something to her neck. Um... enough to scare me. :-/

Dancing with the children - so worth the pain! The pain I was telling you about - that is from riding with my girls on THEIR favorite ride - SO WORTH IT too, although I have informed them that mommy will not be riding that one again - but they are fine to go it alone, thank goodness!!

Fair enough Destry... the clunks and clicks are rather off putting! Try rubbing some Arnica gel on it, that may help.

Well.....my chiropractor changed my life. In fact I owe him my quality of life. I am the biggest sceptic of such things too. He changed my mind in a very big way.
If you want to hear the story, let me know.

    Hugs

Bass, chiropractors can be great... AFTER you have the injured spot x-rayed and possibly further testing if the x ray doesn't show legit problems. I know SEVERAL patients who tried a chiro FIRST... and ended up damaged WORSE! Also, there's less pain if given a muscle relaxer before the chiro "works you over". So, Bass does have a good recommendation, provided the damaged area isn't something that needs to be surgically corrected. :)

Thanks for the info, emerald. My back has been doing this since I was 17, whenever I bend wrong, or lift wrong, or boost up somewhere wrong.... *sigh* I live trying to avoid things that will make it recur, but the shopping cart thing was a surprise. :-/

    thanks Mother :)

    He loves it! :D

I have those continuous heat back patches that work ok. And ibuprofen. No, not much fun... I am supposed to take TaterTot skating lessons tomorrow, and since we had to miss it last week, I am going. I don't care if it still hurts.
    Thanks, sweetie.. x

Any decent chiro insist on full x-rays. Mine did including full length leg scans.
Mine uses the "activator" for adjustments so there is no harsh snapping whatsoever. The process is very gentle.

get some FENAC from the doc on prescription....cheaper and coated to not hurt stomach lining...it is alst twice as potent as ibuprofen....also apply topical Voltaren, and rest a couple of days

I recommend alternating heat and cold packs, muscle relaxers and a hot cabanna boy to bring on the beverages & a naughty massage... works wonders

OK - I so love you right now. Just keep reading. My back is hurting again and I couldn't figure out why and then I read the first few lines of your story and went OMG. Ya, I tried to unstick those stupid grocery carts!! What a pain. Once you realize it's stuck it's too late. And while I'm venting. The other day, I was leaving the school I teach at and I tried to open the door - well it was locked. Ouch!! Really hurt. Since when are doors locked from the inside!! Ya, just wanted to thank - you for posting your story. Let's support each other!!
