Being Part Of The 2020 Vision Quest Experience

I bet many of you have climbed Mt. Washington.  Imagine doing so blind...
On July fourth, this year, I was part of Team 2020 and I was able to witness that very thing.  Randy Pierce, the founder of 2020 Vision Quest, climbed the home of "The World's Worst Weather" with the aid of his guide dog  - The Mighty Quinn.  It was an amazing accomplishment but it was even more powerful to me that Randy was tackling this amazing feat to raise money for two great organizations.

I learned a great deal about team work and perseverance on this trip and I hope that more people will consider taking a peek at the project which is aimed at raising funds and spreading the message that achievement is possible despite whatever adversity you face.

I was amazed to learn that it costs almost $50,000 to raise and train a single guide dog, which is then provided to the vision-impaired person at no cost! But the value of the guide to his/her handler is immeasurable. That's why Randy is raising funds to support Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
