After seperated from my ex of twenty four years I tried to join the military. They told me of my age I was a risk. But I really wanted to join. I said " If I can make it through basic training whats the problem" they just said to come back and try again. Don't understand. I was a physically fit female that they turned down in the early 90's. I was simply asking to join. What the h***! I know I could have done it.

    Of course you could,if you had the desire and the fitness there was no justification for them turning you down.Sounds like discrimination to me which was not justified.

      That is exactly what I thought, but then there I was in a small town that had a big ego and I always felt discriminated there. I had several things that happened to me in that same town that was discrimination. Guess that is why I finally moved out of it.

    No different than the rest of my life. I've had bombs dropped on me by family for years now.
