It's Hard, But I Do It

Everyday I miss my husband a little more.  He is stationed in S.Korea and sometimes the phonecalls and letters just aren't enough.  We began our relationship as friends, and being love at first sight, knew that we would be together no matter what...but essentially our relationship started in a long distance situation, so I thought this would be easier.  It's not...it's hard, but I do it because I know of the sacrifice he makes for me and our country.

I am also joining the US Army, so I know that this will be something that he will have to face also--not having his loving partner available when he needs her...but he will do it because he too will know of the sacrifice I have always longed to make for this country.

How proud I am of you and your boyfriend. Unless you are military or military family you do not understand the scarafices each of you and family memebers make. My son and daughter in law are both in the military. He has already been deployed once for 6 months since they have been together. Which is only three years. She is expecting to deploy the end of this year leaving behind her husband and their new baby and family. I know how difficult this is for you and your loved one. Stay stronge and thank you for doing what you do...it is because of people like you and your boyfriend I can do the things that I do. My heart and prayers go out to you!
