I Support Covenant House
The situation of homelessness is worldwide and in all the major cities. When I visited London I observed several cases of people
kipping near the tube, the grim reality of any city is destituion. This reminds me of Orwell's novel "Down and Out in Paris in London", and how he
experienced this life he literally swapped his middle class life to understand the bitter reality.
Our town as a project whereby any furniture can be donated to the YMCA, this has been running for a while and has proved very
successful. There is a considerable positive contribution whenever others face hardship, and this is one major reason why we should be
supportive of the causes they promote It also encourages. altruism and understanding of others and their plight.
We are all connected and part of this unique brotherhood of man.
