People Are People

My nearest and dearest friend is a gay man. There was a time that his parents would not accept his lifestyle, so we almost got married, just to get his parents off his back.
Before prop. 8 became illegal in California, my best friend and his true love got married. They are now very happy and my best friends family has finally accepted him for who he is.
My nephew just came out about two years ago. I am so very proud of him and I love him with all that I am. He is a great young man and has the world at his fingertips. Many of friends and family are gay. I love them for who they are, not for what their sexual orientation is. Be good to me, and I'll be good to you. That's what my life us based on.
