I couldn't have said it better myself. Jesus only asks for us to love one another and treat each other as we want to be treated. That's ALL. No one will be condemned for sexuality, only for being thoroughly evil.

God does not hate homosexuals. God loves everyone, God hates sin. sexual immorality is a sin, whether its between a man and a woman or the same sex. thats what God hates. but God is a merciful God and a forgiving God and only God can judge. who are we to hate homosexuals when we all commit sin and God gives us breath and a new day and gives us the freedom to be able to decide how we want to live our lives.

I agree!! The Bible says Jesus loves everyone. Jesus doesn't discriminate!

I can't speak for God, but the bible is clear on the practice of homosexuality as being wrong, both old and new testaments. Now that said, I think it comes from the idea that the practice is unclean. the bible also says that you should not have sex with a woman who is menstruating. In fact the woman was supposed to remove herself from the community for the time of her period. Again she was considered 'unclean'. Ask those who say Gay's are an abomination if they worked on the 'Sabbath', a stoning offense in the Old Testament, and if THAT still applies! Well, be a lot of people in need of a stoning!! Let those who have ears hear and those who have eyes see.

      Elle,
I would mirror those things you stated and would add, in Matthew 22:37-40, also in Luke. Both of these are mirrors of OT Scripture in Dueteronomy in which Israel is called upon to listen to God. We, as people, call the scripture divinely inspired but what we often have issues with is which ones relate directly to Israel and which ones relate to us. Paul's discourse to the Romans (the only verses in the NT about this) were directed to a new church that still attempted to mix former pagan rituals along with Christian rituals. Thus we have the issue of temple prostitutes and young boys being used for sexual purposes. Paul's discourse to the church in Corinth-a church divided over issues of who is their leader-Paul reminds them that the only leader is truly Jesus Christ. He then goes on to explain in Chapter 13 of 1 Corinthians about love. It is a mirror of how Jesus lived. Jesus, in Matthew 12:1-39 speaks of the burdens the Pharisees have placed upon the common people by adding man-made rules. Remeber, Paul's earlier life had been a Pharisee and thevast majority of the new churches after the resurrection of Christ had a mostly Jewish congregation. As they aded Gentiles to their midst there needed to be some clarity on what constituted Christianity, was it based on circumcision of the body or circumcision of the heart. Paul answered this-again to the church in Rome-Romans 2:29-"But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God."
Based on this, we understand that in Christ we all become justified based on the heart and not on the flesh. I pray this helps all to gain a bit of light on this subject.

    Bella,

Thank you for speaking about something we have often heard is "abominable". It is unfortunate that so many cannot get past the OT and move into the NT where love is the priority, even if it goes against tradition. This is the acceptance Christ showed for all of those he encountered and it is the acceptance and love we should show to others.

    To "Faithemblem",

I am sorry you have had such a bad experience but please know you are loved just as you are and it is no humanity to judge, only God. I have often been judged, or felt that way and yet over time I came to see the blessing God provided in making me the way I am. I can help build a bridge of friendship for so many like myself and then Jesus can just walk across. This bridge is not about judgment, it is about carig and freedom from opression of the world and letting your life be guided by something so much greater than human thought.

    To all,

Please know that I care and so does God. God has given us this gift of technology to reach and interact in positive ways with so many that have been left out of the mainstream areas of life. When we begin to embrace the idea that God uses everything to reach people then we can begin to rid ourselves of the judgmental actions that have divided this world.

    Hugs to all,

    Regina

Ah, I used to feel that way. Proud of my love, and the way I felt it.

But recently I was denied friendship and love both based on the fact that I was gay. . . and I was called repulsive. Disgusting. By the person I'm madly in love with.

Now I can't touch something without thinking I'm contaminating it. It burns.

I don't love myself anymore. I can't agree with what you've said, because when you're gay, it's like people take your humanity from you. Love doesn't exist outside of a single person any more D:
