If The Governments Won't Support Gay Rights Then Shouldn't We Get Rid Of Them?

I mean they are supposed to serve the people, not dictate who can do what based on gender and sexual orientation, so if they're not fit for purpose then they need to be replaced...

It's not a dictatorship because people vote and the Senate gets to have the final say on most things. However, I do agree that more people should actually vote and then maybe the prejudice people won't win. That is a maybe though. Sadly there are a lot of prejudice people in the United States. Just look at California where the people got to vote on weather gay marriages should remain legal or not. I just think it's odd that the people got to vote for something like that. Usually people just vote for the who gets in the politician seat.
