Bonus 2 For 1!

I would never have imagined seven years ago that when I met my now-husband, I would also meet one of my greatest friends at the same time.  My husband’s brother is gay and when my husband first introduced us, we clicked straight away. My brother-in-law is one of the kindest, gentlest, funniest, naughtiest souls I’ve met and I Iove him dearly.  Before I had children, my brother-in-law and I would go everywhere together – out for drinks, clubbing, shopping, relaxing at the beach, etc etc. My husband loved it – he had all the freedom to go out drinking down the pub with his mates while my brother-in-law and I used to do things far more appealing to us. These days I don’t get to do much with my brother-in-law due to having very small children, but he is a fantastic uncle to my girls and I can see they love him as much as I do. I always tell people that when I met my husband years ago, I got a bonus 2 for 1 deal .... a husband and a great friend as well! It saddens me when I hear people talking negatively about GLBTs – over the years I have met some of the most amazing people I’ve known through my brother-in-law’s friends. I have nothing but the deepest respect and love for GLBT community.

I agree with tikk - being gay is irrelevant - he's just a nice decent bloke
