Please.. For America
It was there even at McCain's concession speech. It was a desperate strategy to play on voters' fears, and this is the result. People are angry, and that scares me.
My mother said to me that the fervor surrounding the Obama campaign was a bit alarming - the blind faith and crazy enthusiasm. I countered with the point that at least it is positive enthusiasm, and cited the negativity purported by McCain supporters, with examples from his (and Palin's) hate-filled rallies.
There is nothing to fear from an Obama presidency. I hope that in a few weeks, or months, that you all will calm down and see that he has the nation's best interests on his agenda.
You'll see that the next time a family member or friend doesn't go bankrupt because they get sick. You'll see that when someone you know and/or care about gets to come home from a bloody war. You'll see when someone you know gets to keep their house and keep/get a job. You'll see when it happens to YOU.
He's not the person you think he is; he's a great man, and he's the President. Please open your eyes to reason, and please accept reality and embrace a positive future.

Posted Nov 6th, 2008 at 6:07AM I guess maybe I'm just not the type to believe such things without reason. Granted, people could be very wrong about Obama. He could be the best President we have ever had. But what if everyone is right? What if all of this chaos is just the beginning. A lot is about to change. For some it will be good. For others, it will be a disaster. I'm not saying I think Obama is the antichrist or a terrible man like others believe, but I do believe that we should all stay on our toes and keep close watch for atleast the first year of his Presidency. I don't back him. But maybe he will change that.
Posted Nov 6th, 2008 at 12:04PM personally, if obama has some problems during his candidacy, it would have happened no matter who were in the seat. thats my view. there is a lot of chaos at the moment, but the world applauded obama's win. that has to mean something. no matter what happens, i think obama will do a better job than a mccain in the seat.
