I (my namen) do solemnlly swear to preserve protect and defend the Constitution
of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic.
I further swear to carry out all lawfull orders of the Commander in Cheif and of the
Congress of the United States of America.
So help me God..

    I recall taking that oath three times, before I actually was sworn in. Each time they kept telling me this is your last chance to back out of enlistment; I did not hesitate each time.
