Looking back it was all so obvious - if we knew the syptoms.
Repeating coughing flu and fevers - the doctors just gave more antibiotic and it would go away then come back later. She felt tired a lot, no energy and got diarrohea sometimes and thrush usually. Only when she had her so hight temp and so weak we took her to the hospital and yes she had pneumonia and yes she also had low CD4 - 15 only !
I made sure she got local specialist help then helped her get onto the drug progam of her own country. Now we still live together and she is amazingly healthy and full of energy. Of course she has to take meds every day but thats no prob. They say people have survived already from the 80s with careful programmes - so why not survive 40+ years - especially if the meds keep improving. In fact why should there be a limit ?
She is only 21
And she gave it to me.
