What I Want to Say to the

You republicans last year treated Ron Paul like he was the devil. Now that you Republicans are "losers" now you "talk" like Libertarians again. Talk is cheap. You had eight long years of Dubya in the White House and I saw no "action" from the Bush whitehouse to make government smaller. FOOL ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU BUT FOOL ME TWICE THEN SHAME ON ME. Do you Republicans really expect me to believe that you are the party of smaller government?

A while back I found this survey which tells you what politician you are based on your political views and beliefs. After answering a bunch of questions, I found out that I'm Dennis Kucinich. I didn't mind that assessment. I mean, have you seen his wife? She's a knockout.

I agree with Kucinich and Paul on a few issues (such as their unwavering support for immediate withdrawal from Iraq. And when I say immediate, I mean yesterday) However, Ron Paul has some very dangerous ideas on the economy and social security. He stops making good points once he stops talking about our insane illegal occupation of Iraq (quit calling it a war already!)

Kucinich, well he has several areas in addition to Iraq that I am in total agreement with, such as his desire to investigate the Bush administration for obvious crimes. However, he's got his own brand of crazy. He thinks he came in contact with an alien ship.

What a great post. and what a great reply by Whuttup.
I think the saying was to paraphrase a bungling non wordster: "Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice....er, er.....We won't get fooled again!" LOLOL
For the past 8 years we have a system of trickle down, supply side economics. It didn't work. Neither did their "Borrow and Spend" policy which brought us the highest deficit ever! I'm more inclined to go with the tax and spend model - pay as you go system. It works for us little people, it should work for our government as well. I never heard all of the screaming when we spent trillions of dollars and over 4000 innocent lives of our National Treasure in an bull Sh*t war in Iraq because "After all, this is the man who tried to kill my Daddy and he has WMD (not!)" Or how about the bailout of the capitalist banks and Wall Street? No one hollered there! It is sickening and hypocritical to say the least. Ron Paul was treated badly. He has some great ideas as does Dennis Kucinich, both strict Constitutionalists. It seems we have lost our way and the other side is hoping we fail as we work to get it all back. Now that my friends is truly pathetic and unpatriotic.

From 2000 to 2006, Republicans had control of the executive and legislative branches. During this time we saw an amazing growth of government, and they did their best to make their "government is bad" mantra become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The ultimate gag moment the other night was when Jindal cited FEMA's response to Hurricane Katrina as proof that government is incompetent. Well, duh. The government under Republican control was incredibly incompetent. When you appoint the Arabian Horse guy to head FEMA, don't expect it to function well. Government is only inherently incompetent when it's being controlled by people who hate government and want to prove it fails. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. I'm not sure why anyone would want people who hate government to run government. The logic is absent. The Republican motto should be:

"Government doesn't work. Elect me and I'll prove it to you"
